Pavilion KL

Wow, most of the shops didn’t fully switch off the lights. They are not supportive. I was very disappointed.

Only one shop really switched off the light.

Starhill KL

I like Starhill. The mood of Earth Hour event is really there. Most of the shops switched off the lights to support this event. The live performances are also very sweet. Bravo!

After 9.30pm.

As conclusion, I have made a right choice to go to Starhill. I really satisfied with the event here, quite happening.

yes..it is very frustrating to see malaysians that are NOT doing their part,switching off is like a vote to show we care,and obviously the message that they sent out was”we dont care”..this is sad

I did not close my light too, because i daily save electric already, i never waste, I every days also earth days…haha

@neko: Actually this is not just happen in Malaysia, but other countries too. My dad just back from LA, he said most of the people there didn’t turn off the light. T_T

I understand shops might need some lights. But still from the photos, its really too bright… They should really switch off lights …

Well, commercial places would not usually close their lights.

Come on they are making a business. I bet you wouldn’t close your lights if you own one of the shops inside Pavilion.

I opinion about Earth Hour is that it is giving us a reason to spend more electricity during non Earth Hour when we’ve already switch off the lights during Earth Hour.

i was at asia cafe ss15 tat time. only starbucks at tat area off their lights. asia cafe din even off a single light. and acted like dunno anything. sigh. i was so excited when i dine there tot they are gonna participate. but no.

it’s true too. i agree with aeroplane1234. u know msians well… if i’m in a shop with a full blackout i might be the one to curi things too

I don’t think full blackout is good idea. As long it’s dark but not too dark should be great already. With candle lights for sure look very romantic. 😀
